Week Two: Advert Ideas and Plan

I choose the topic of cameras or lens. The reason why I choose the topic which is relevant to my hobby and will be my future career. In this post, I will discover different advertisement from different camera company, such as Canon, Sony and Nikon.

Above is the Sony Alpha 7C "Go Beyond" pre-order advertisement, revealing A7C by the model holding the camera and a slogan in the middle of the advertisement. Below was the Nikon D750 and D3400 advertisement, using the Nikon's classic "I am..." campaign slogan ("I am Love at First Click" in this case), with a picture which was shot by the camera being advertised.

However, the "I am..." campaign was not frequently being used after the Mirrorless Z series was introduced. The trends of advertisement are more likely changed into a simpler style, which leads to clear product shots and sometimes may have enough space for specification.

Last but not least, Canon reveals their EOS R camera with similar tactics to Nikon, sharing some similar features, such as the sample photos as background and reviewing the product, while adding some discount or pre-order sales into the advertisement.

The three brands share some close features, like the product itself, the brand logo and the model logo as well as tagline. Details and the concept of presentation are different, Nikon and Canon reveals the sample photos while Sony hired a model for the advertisement.

In my own advertisement, I think I will make it very simple, just a studio selling camera gears. I will try to add a slogan and brand logo in it, not to mention the contact way of browsing the brand's website.
